Create a cab bill or taxi receipt online

Record a completed ride with passenger details, pickup and drop locations, trip date, fare, and payment details. Use the cab bill generator for city rides, airport transfers, outstation trips, or hourly rentals. Check the live preview for free; downloading the final PDF uses credits.

See the cab bill format for the trip details and fare breakdown shown on the receipt.

How to create a cab bill PDF

  1. Enter the cab business name and passenger name. Add a logo and contact details if needed.
  2. Add the receipt number, trip date and time, pickup, drop, and service type.
  3. Enter the base fare, distance, distance unit, and rate per unit. Open Extra charges for waiting, night, toll or parking, and service charges.
  4. Check the discount and tax rate. Set the payment status and enter the actual paid amount separately.
  5. Review the route, fare breakdown, total, and balance in the preview. Download the final PDF using the credits shown in the format picker.

What to include in a taxi receipt

  • Ride details: passenger name, receipt number, trip date and time, pickup, and drop.
  • Booking and vehicle: optional trip ID, booking reference, duration, driver name, cab number, and vehicle model.
  • Fare breakdown: base fare, distance charge, extras, discount, and tax.
  • Payment record: cash, card, UPI, or bank transfer; payment reference, status, amount paid, and remaining balance.

Cab fare example: distance, extras, and payment

Suppose a ride has a base fare of 100 and covers 20 km at 15 per km. The distance charge is 300. Add 50 for toll or parking and the subtotal is 450. A discount of 20 gives a total of 430 when tax is set to zero for this example. If the passenger paid 200, enter 200 as Paid Amount; the remaining balance is 230.

Use one currency throughout. This is an arithmetic example, not a suggested fare or tax rate. The base fare is added to the distance charge, so do not enter the entire ride price in both fields.

City rides, airport transfers, and fixed fares

Choose the service type that matches the ride. Airport transfers can include toll or parking in the combined Toll / Parking field. Waiting and night charges have their own fields. Booking details can hold the trip ID, booking reference, and duration.

For a fixed-price trip, enter the agreed fare in Base Fare and set Rate / Unit to zero so the distance does not add a second charge. For an hourly rental, calculate the agreed rental charge before entering it: the Duration field records text and does not calculate an hourly fare.

Check distance, tax, and the amount paid

Select kilometres or miles and enter the matching distance and rate per unit. Changing the unit label does not convert the numbers. Use the actual discount and tax rate for the ride; the generator does not decide which tax rate applies.

Payment Status and Paid Amount are separate fields. For a fully paid ride, enter the full total as Paid Amount. For a partial payment, enter the amount received and select Partially Paid. For an unpaid ride, enter zero and select Unpaid. Check that the printed status and balance agree.

Cab receipt or driver salary receipt?

A cab receipt records the fare for a ride. A driver salary receipt records a salary payment to a driver for a month. Use the document that matches the payment, even when the same driver provides both services.

Read invoice versus receipt for the difference between charges due and payment received.

Keep the receipt matched to the ride

Check the route, trip date, vehicle number, fare, and payment reference against the booking or trip record. If an app or cab operator issued the original receipt, request a duplicate from them when it is missing. BillQuest does not retrieve receipts from ride-booking apps.

For expense records, read the missing-receipt guide and check what supporting documents your reviewer needs.

Cab bill FAQ

Is the cab bill generator free?

Entering details and checking the preview are free. The final PDF uses credits. Check the format picker for the download cost and pricing for credit packs.

Can I create an airport taxi receipt?

Yes. Select Airport Transfer, enter the pickup and drop locations, and add the agreed fare. Include toll or parking charges only if they are part of the bill.

Can I record a fixed fare or hourly rental?

Yes. Enter the agreed charge in Base Fare and set Rate / Unit to zero to avoid adding a distance charge. For hourly rentals, calculate the charge yourself; the Duration field does not calculate it.

Can I use miles instead of kilometres?

Yes. Choose mi in Distance Unit and enter the distance and rate per mile. Changing the unit does not convert existing values.

Can I add a driver name, cab number, and booking reference?

Yes. Open Driver and cab for driver and vehicle fields, and Booking details for the trip ID, booking reference, and duration.

How do I show a partially paid ride?

Select Partially Paid and enter the amount received in Paid Amount. Review the balance in the preview. The status selection alone does not set the amount paid.

Does this generate an official Uber or Ola receipt?

No. It creates a receipt from the details you enter. For an official app-issued receipt, use the ride provider’s receipt or download option.

Can I use the cab bill for office reimbursement?

Check your employer’s requirements first. Keep the real trip and payment records with the bill. Creating a PDF does not guarantee that a claim will be accepted.

Can I add a cab business logo?

Yes. Use Cab logo to add your business logo and check its appearance in the preview.

Will the downloaded PDF have the preview watermark?

The final paid PDF downloads without the preview watermark. Review the trip and payment details before downloading.
